HISTORY OF THE ASSOCIATION/FOUNDATION

The Doha Charitable Association for Orphans was established through the sincere friendship and shared vision of two individuals “Ali Abdallah and Chafiou Aboubakar”. By the infinite mercy of Allah (SWT), their paths crossed in a remarkable way, enabling each to support the other in personal and socio-economic growth.

Recognizing the pure heart of his friend, Sheikh Ali Abdallah conceived the idea of supporting orphans and the needy, especially in the West African region where Chafiou Aboubakar originates. Trusting him completely, Ali Abdallah provided a small amount of money to identify and assist orphans in the area.

From these humble beginnings, the Association has grown significantly over more than five (5) years. Today, it operates in various sectors, including:

  • Construction of mosques and Islamic schools

  • Provision of clean water through boreholes

  • Distribution of school uniforms

  • Ramadan feeding programs

  • Educational initiatives for Ummahat (mothers of orphans)

  • Scholarships for Islamic and Western education

A key achievement is that both orphans and underprivileged pupils benefit from free education, with no fees or costs for uniforms.

Currently, the Association manages:

  • Two mosques, built from scratch and maintained by the Association

  • Two Islamic schools

  • Four boreholes, all powered by solar energy for 24/7 operation

Both mosques, schools, and boreholes are fully functional and sustainably powered, ensuring continuous benefit to the community
